Future Vision Childcare

Our Ethos

The aim of Future Vision Childcare is to provide a safe, nurturing caring environment to young people with a range of complex needs and issues such as social, emotional or behavioural difficulties, young people who have been subjected to trauma, neglect, and children who have been vulnerable to CSE, or those with challenging, difficult or aggressive behaviour. Young people who are involved in criminal activity/Youth Justice System, young people who have previous failed relationships/placements, young people who have misused drugs, alcohol or demonstrated other forms of self-harm.

Our main aim is to make sure all young people can live life to the fullest with daily support and guidance from staff. To make sure the young people reach their full potential, achieve their goals and to prepare them for their future. All young people are encouraged to become integrated into the local community and have access to social activities that are of particular interest to them.

Our Mission Statement is: 'To provide high quality, bespoke care, informed by the Trauma Recovery Model and a child centred approach, to allow children from all walks of life to thrive in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. Our focus is on holistically supporting individuals to allow them to flourish and develop independence to prepare them for the next step in their life.'

Everything we do starts with the young person. We focus on what they need to feel safe, make progress, and move towards greater independence — building on their strengths rather than defining them by past difficulties.

In practice, that means we work to:

  • See each young person as an individual and support a positive sense of who they are.
  • Listen carefully and involve them in decisions about their day-to-day care.
  • Treat everyone with dignity and respect, and encourage the same among peers and adults.
  • Help young people form secure, trusting relationships and grow resilience over time.
  • Offer a stable, homely environment with clear structure, consistency, and boundaries.
  • Work closely with families and multi-agency partners so support stays centred on the young person.
  • Set realistic, strengths-based goals that address worries and help them move forward.
